Description

On a dark winter morning, the alarm goes off, the light comes on, and your phone is already charged, all from one lamp on the nightstand. The TheraLite Radiance is a bedside lamp with wireless charger, alarm clock, and 10,000 lux of warm, UV-free light therapy in a slim head that angles down toward you. Sit about 5 inches away for a 30 minute session when you wake, then tap down through four touch settings to a soft everyday glow. The display keeps the time, date, and room temperature in view, the Qi pad and USB port charge a phone even with the light off, and at 1.5 pounds it takes up a 5.5-inch strip of nightstand or moves to another room. No assembly: plug it in and set the clock.

How to Use - Three Easy Steps

1. Set Up Your Nightstand
Set the time, date, and alarm, then angle the light head down toward where your face will be, about 5 inches away.

2. Start Your Morning Session
Tap the light on at full brightness for 30 minutes soon after waking. Prefer more space? Sit 7 inches away for about 60 minutes.

3. Keep Your Essentials in Reach
Set your phone on the Qi pad and lower the brightness for everyday light. A consistent morning routine helps keep your body clock in sync for steadier daytime energy.

How it Works - What Studies Say

Bright Light and Your Body Clock
Your circadian rhythm relies on bright light reaching your eyes to set daytime alertness and nighttime sleepiness. A short session each morning helps when daylight is limited or your days are spent indoors.

Research on Light Therapy and Mood
In a study of 177 adults with seasonal mood concerns, six weeks of daily 30 minute, 10,000 lux morning light therapy produced improvements comparable to cognitive behavioral therapy. The Radiance delivers 10,000 lux at 5 inches, so a 30 minute session close to the lamp matches that daily routine.

Research on Light and Sleep
A review of 53 studies found bright light therapy helped with sleep problems tied to the body clock, although results varied from person to person. Keeping the Radiance beside your bed makes that morning consistency easy.

Three Bedside Essentials in One Lamp

On a dark winter morning the alarm, the light, and the charger are all within reach of the bed. This 3 in 1 lamp replaces three devices on the nightstand with one, and needs just one cord to do it.

TheraLite Radiance digital clock display glowing on a nightstand

Everything You Need to Know at a Glance

Before your feet hit the floor, the display shows the time, the date, and how warm the room is, in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Turn the backlight off at night and the nightstand stays dark.

Warm Morning Light Right Beside You

Four touch settings take the lamp from full 10,000 lux for a dark winter morning session down to a soft glow for reading in bed. Angle the slim head toward your eyes, sit about 5 inches back, and 30 minutes later the session is done.

You need this!!

I really do feel it makes a bid difference to my day because I get up very early in the dark but can’t get out for early sunshine

It's pretty good. Sits on my desk and is used while I am using my computer in the morning. I like that I can move it to other rooms if necessary. Haven't set up the features yet (clock, date & time) but it is loud when I was playing with the buttons.

Working from home - no time to be out during sunlight

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who is now working from home. With meetings starting early and ending late she is missing any daylight time. This lamp is the perfect solution. It is small enough to be on her desk, provides the much needed light therapy for those of us here in New England with all the gray days and was very reasonably priced.

Is 5 Inches Too Close to Sit From the Radiance?

No, that’s the distance it’s built for. The Radiance is rated at 10,000 lux 5 inches from the light head, which is about where you sit when the lamp is on the nightstand and angled toward you. Sit there for 30 minutes after waking on a dark winter morning, or move back to 7 inches for about 60 minutes.

How Do Light Therapy Lamps Work?

Bright morning light reaching your eyes helps set your circadian rhythm, the internal clock behind daytime alertness and nighttime sleepiness. A short session at the same time each morning matters more than an occasional long one.

Will the Display Light Up the Bedroom at Night?

Not unless you want it to. The clock display has a backlight you can turn off at night. The light head only comes on when you tap it, and the Qi pad keeps charging your phone with the light off.

What Lux Level Should a Light Therapy Lamp Be?

Look for 10,000 lux at the distance the lamp is rated for. The TheraLite Radiance delivers 10,000 lux at 5 inches and blocks 100% of UV light.

What If the TheraLite Radiance Isn't Right for Me?

Every order is covered by our 60-day return policy, and the TheraLite Radiance is backed by a one-year warranty, so you can try it with confidence.

How Does the Radiance Compare With the Aura Qi?

Both include an alarm clock, a time, date, and temperature display, Qi wireless charging, and a USB port. Choose the Radiance for a lightweight, practical bedside lamp, or the Aura Qi for a larger light panel that delivers 10,000 lux at 12 inches, so you can sit farther back during your session. Both are FSA/HSA eligible.
