What are these black plugs inside the legs, prohibiting me from assembling the commode?

These plugs are additional pieces added for packaging to prevent product damage in transit. The plugs should be removed prior to assembly of the product.

What is this “funnel” item I received with my commode. It looks like a commode bucket, but it doesn’t have a bottom.

This is a splash guard. Your commode can be used as a stand-alone commode, or over an existing toilet. When used over an existing toilet, the commode bucket should not be used. The splash guard would be used in place of the commode bucket to help keep waste directed into the toilet.

Why is my commode rusting?

Rust is the result of a natural process where the iron in metal encounters oxygen and water, causing it to corrode and deteriorate. It is good practice to clean and dry your commode on a regular basis to help prevent rusting.

Is rusting covered under warranty?

No. Rusting is not typically covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Can I put wheels on my 3-in-1 commode?

Drive DeVilbiss does not offer wheels for use with our standard commodes. We do not advise the use of wheels on our 3-in-1 commodes.

Are commode liners flushable?

No

Can I use my commode in the shower?

Drive offers several shower commodes. Please see a full listing of our shower commodes at drivemedical.com
